Mr. Katt is from the mountains of Virginia where his family has lived since before the Revolution. He has lived in Belmont for the last 13 years since he started attending Belmont Abbey College, where he became Catholic and came into the Church at the Easter vigil of 2016. His daughter started at Saint Michael in Pre-K 3 and will be going into Kindergarten in the fall of 2026. He loves poetry, paddling, gardening, and wood working in his free time.
Mr. Katt has been teaching for 8 years. His educational philosophy is that “Education is like a good poem. It is an invitation into an experience that, if you let it, will reshape the way you see the world. You will be left that much closer to all that is True, Good, and Beautiful.” His confirmation saint is St. Thomas More and he also holds a particular devotion for St. John Bosco and St. Benedict as well. He is very excited to return to Classical education and to teach in such a wonderfully Catholic community.
